Will 2008 be your Year? The choice is yours.
When the New Year comes around it causes us to reflect on the past year. If your year was not all you hoped or life just seems to continue on without the health, joy, love and fulfilment you want then NOW is the time to come on a workshop to make those changes. Take this opportunity to change your life and have the one you deserve.
If you are wishing that life could be better then here are two techniques that you can try right now:
1. Make your passion work for you
No one wants a life of colourless drudgery. Think about the things that lift your spirits, then make them happen. Set aside two hours or more if you have it. Make sure you are going to be undisturbed, go out for a walk if you feel you will be distracted. Review the past year as objectively as possible, the highs, the lows. Stand back and observe what has been going on in your life. Notice any recurring patterns i.e. difficulties in work, poor health at certain times, relationship problems.
Now decide how you want your life to be. Are there things about your life that you love? What are you ready to let go of? (poor health, abusive relationships etc.)
Picture your life as you now want it to be, write this down and then convert it into positive affirmations. Positive affirmations are one very practical way to change negative thought patterns that may be holding you back in some way. They are always positive, in the present tense and personal. So for instance if I wished to experience better relationships I would state that “all my relationships are loving and harmonious”; for a more enjoyable work experience “I now have wonderful new opportunities to work with all my creative talents and abilities in a good environment with people I like and who like me”.
2. Be generous of Spirit
Smile and pay genuine compliments to someone close to you or even a complete stranger. Far more satisfying than giving an expensive present and much more memorable too. You will be amazed how even the stoniest face will soften and smile back at you. While your at it, try appreciating your own beauty and talents.
