A Personal Healing Experience
(How to Cure Your Fibroid Naturally e-book and online exercises now available, see below)
This is my own personal story of healing. It is the story of how I was diagnosed with a large fibroid and how through the guidance of Louise Hay's work I learned that to heal my body, I had to heal my life.Today I have two wonderful
children, a happy fulfilling life and I am pleased to say no fibroids or other
dis-ease in my body. All this without surgery or medical intervention. And for
those who may doubt the authenticity of my story, I still have the original
scans which can be seen together with details of my book here
Get Rid of Fibroids naturally and stop them coming back - Forever!
For the benefit of anyone who does not know much about fibroids but may be
reading this, I start by giving some brief background facts.
Fibroids
What are they?
Fibroids are a benign (non-cancerous) growth of the muscle of the uterus (womb). They can be small (pea sized) or large (the size of a melon) but most are somewhere
in between. There may be just one fibroid but more often multiple fibroids exist.
Fibroids are very common and are thought to affect about a quarter of all women.
Signs and Symptoms
Many women have fibroids and have no symptoms at all. It all depends on where in
the womb the fibroids are located and their size. The fibroids can be found inside the
womb cavity (called sub-mucosal), in the wall of the womb (called intra-mural) and
on the outer aspect of the womb (called sub-serosal). Symptoms caused by fibroids
might include:
- Heavy periods
- Lower tummy pain
- Bladder problems
- Infertility
- Miscarriage
Typical Medical Treatments:
- Hysterectomy – this is a major operation to remove the uterus.
- Myomectomy – this is the removal of individual fibroids, leaving the uterus intact, only considered for those women who still wish to have a baby.
- Hysteroscopic resection – fibroids within the uterus can sometimes be removed during hysteroscopy using a hot wire loop (diathermy)
- Uterine artery embolisation – this is a new technique in which the blood supply to the fibroid is blocked causing the fibroid to shrink. It is still undergoing research and is not yet widely available.
New Medical Treatments:
- MR guided Focused Ultrasound Surgery - a non-invasive outpatient
procedure using high doses of focused ultrasound waves to destroy the
fibroids whilst leaving other tissues untouched. Still relatively new
and not available everywhere.
Very little progress has been made to find the cause and the cure for fibroids.
As a result, 37% of all women in the United States undergo hysterectomy by age 60 for fibroids.
Uterine fibroids are the most common reason for women to undergo hysterectomy in both the United Kingdom
and the USA.
My Healing Experience
Below is a brief outline of my fibroid experiences. I have put a detailed account of my experiences and offer a practical guide to tackling the underlying causes of fibroids in my book detailed below.

My Fibroid Healing BookI cured my fibroid and I have finally written my experiences down and a detailed step by step guide of what I did so that you can too. If you have a fibroid or want to prevent them coming back - You need to deal with the root CAUSE. My e-book not only explains the process I went through, but also provides audio and written exercises to take you through that process also. Background
I became medically aware of a large fibroid ( a benign growth of the muscle of the uterus) when I was pregnant with my first child 11 years ago. My doctor initially thought I was expecting twins because of its size and I was immediately seen by a consultant, who diagnosed me with a large pedunculated (on a stalk) fibroid the size of a plate (completely flat) outside the uterine wall. This type of fibroid becomes painful because the stalk twists (torsion) and also the fibroid outgrows its blood supply causing it to break down (red degeneration), when this occurs there is also a risk of miscarriage and I was hospitalised for a while when this happened to me.
It is hard to describe the complex mix of emotions I had at the time. I
felt very alone, my partner was in America working, I was extremely worried
about my baby, who was very much wanted, and seemed at risk because of my
condition. I suppose if I had to sum it up I would say I was lonely and fearful.
Health problems in general seem to have a habit of making you feel isolated and
alone even when this is not true. A lot of things blur after the event but one
thing I remember very strongly was being in pain and affirming silently and
somewhat continuously to my baby that he was staying here with me and I was not
going to lose him. I count myself as fortunate that I had a natural birth and
produced a healthy child who proved to be the gift I knew he was.
After the birth and subsequent follow up months later, the fibroid became the size of a
grapefruit and I was told that was the best I could hope for and that it would
remain that way until it became a real problem. If and when that happened, I could
then have it removed after using drugs to shrink it to a more manageable size.
I was also made aware that having had one fibroid, I could have more, and
removal would not prevent this. There is such a feeling of hopelessness when
someone tells you something like that, but I did not accept it. I knew
deep down that my body had created this fibroid and that being the case, it made
perfect sense to me that my body could heal itself. The main challenge was in
getting to the root cause so that not only would I get rid of this fibroid but
avoid any others.
The Healing Process
I am delighted to tell you that I did get to the root cause. I managed to completely dissolve the fibroid myself without any medical intervention. I achieved this by making some dietary and lifestyle changes but more importantly, by releasing all the negative thoughts, anger, resentment and guilt from my life for past hurts and problems. The tools were my own mind and body and the works of Louise Hay and others like her. Yes, I know how that sounds, but it is absolutely true. I learned that when you hold onto anger, hurt and resentment it turns into dis-ease and disrupts the natural flow of the body. I also learned that you cannot look at any physical symptom or ailment in isolation and that the whole self must be considered.
I had come across the book “You Can Heal Your Life” by Louise Hay when I found a
lump in my breast and was warned it might be cancerous, in my early twenties.
The lump was removed and turned out to be benign. After removal the surgeon said I
should expect more lumps like this as most of his patients had several recurrences.
The book inspired me to make changes but somehow I found it difficult to keep it
up, especially after surgery, as the immediate threat had gone.
I came back to Louise’s work after the birth of my son and attended a workshop
that really helped me blow out all the old “negative stuff” I had been carrying
around with me. I was unaware that I had this kind of “baggage” but for the fact that I was
unhappy and unhealthy. It seems amazing to me now that as adults we accept
unhappiness or stress as a way of life and feel “that is just the way it is”.
Following on from that I made lifestyle and dietary changes and started using
clearing techniques that I came across in my search and commitment to health. It
took about three months for me to know that the fibroid had gone.
The change was wonderful and lasting. It all happened many years ago and I cannot
imagine ever going back to the way I used to live, it is so alien to me now. If
someone had told me beforehand that working on myself and just allowing the changes
to take place would bring me so much joy and healing, as a long term cynic
I would never have believed them.
When I became pregnant again six years ago my previous gynaecologist was
stunned to find no trace of that fibroid or any others, he checked and double
checked my scans certain that it must be there, but no. I already knew, even before the
scans, that the fibroids were no longer there. I made a decision to share what I
had learned with others in similar circumstances and became certified by Louise
Hay to run "Heal Your Life" Workshops in the
Uk. The workshop is a very intense two day experience which not only
incorporates all the essential techniques and exercises that I did for my own
healing all those years ago but also techniques used by Shakti Gawain, Deepak
Chopra and others to ensure a complete experience.
Having run the workshops now for many years and having had a Fibroids information site running to share with others the news that they can heal themselves naturally, I became snowed under with requests to tell people exactly what processes I used to heal. As a result I decided to produce an ebook with audio exercises as just reading about this stuff does not make it work. You need to actually take part in the process. That book is now available and you can get details by clicking on the following link:

If you are facing a health challenge
For anyone reading this who maybe in a quandary about what to do regarding their own health problem, I have some understanding of how frightening and daunting it can be. Since my experience I have gone on to take Advanced Louise Hay Teacher Training so that I can take people through the same process I initially went through as well as adding in the other techniques I subsequently learned that brought about my healing. As a result of my training and my experience and the experiences of others I have helped and been involved with, I have produced a plan of action for you to take back control of your life and your body with the ultimate goal of healing your life.
Obviously the first thing to do is get a proper diagnosis by
visiting your doctor and then an appropriate consultant/specialist.
I have found on many occasions in my life regarding health matters that
knowledge really is power, so read and research as much as you can yourself so that you
fully understand your condition and diagnosis and can ask relevant questions as well
as understand the answers. It is so easy to believe that doctors know best. They
have a good deal of knowledge and experience, however they cannot possibly keep up to
date with new medical developments in procedures and treatments and tend to
stick to what they know of old. There are some wonderful healthcare professionals around
but likewise there are many who do not see patients as whole people but rather as
symptoms to be treated or bits to be removed.
If you do not get to the bottom of why you are experiencing this health problem
and you remove it surgically it will return, either in that location or elsewhere in
the body and possibly more seriously.
Stop for a moment and consider that your body created this condition and so it
is not so very “off the wall” to suggest that your body can also dissolve the condition
or heal itself. The body can usually only communicate distress or dis-ease to you via
pain or physical signs, therefore to ignore them or just get rid of the symptoms puts
the body under more pressure to get your attention to the real problem.
Surgery has its place and is very valuable especially when a condition is
extremely far advanced and time is short to clear it safely. But I do urge you if this is not
the case, to try, whilst still seeing your medical professionals, to
look within for the
answers to your health problem. Read Louise Hays’ book “You Can Heal Your Life”, practise
the exercises and affirmations. The book can be obtained from the library, so
what have you got to lose and on the other hand you have your health to gain.
Take responsibility for yourself, take back your own power and listen to your
own body, you have all you need within. Learn a new way with regard to taking care
of your health and your body. Start to develop your spiritual side. You already
know some of the things you need to do to lead a healthier life, make it as much fun
as you can. Take time out to do things you love, some of which you may not have done
for years.
Right now as you read this just take in a series of deep breaths and let them
out slowly and just notice how different your body feels. Relaxation is really important
together with meditation and there are various groups you could join, or just pop into a
local yoga class. We tend to tense parts of our body as a response to physical and
emotional stress. Some people subconsciously tense the pelvic muscles, which blocks the
blood flow and cuts off the supply of nutrients to our organs. When the oxygen levels
drop in the muscles, lactic acid is produced which causes cramping & discomfort. The
muscles should have a good blood flow to and from them in order to help toxins
to be removed from them.
My Basic Plan for Health
- See your doctor for diagnosis and advice
- Get referred to an appropriate consultant/specialist as soon as possible (if you can manage it then pay to have an appointment sooner)
- Read and research as much as you can about your condition and the various treatments
- Start making changes to diet and lifestyle to assist your healing
- go on an intensive workshop.
- Read Louise Hays’ book “You Can Heal Your Life” to give you a background for understanding the mind/body link.
- Positive thoughts about your own healing and situation are key, use positive affirmations to support yourself.
- Keep an open mind, depending on the seriousness of your condition, consider allowing your body time to heal itself whilst still being in contact with your doctor/consultant. If necessary to have surgery then prepare for a positive outcome and work on self healing before, during and afterwards.
- Meditation, relaxation and deep breathing are extremely beneficial. Join a group, take up pilates, yoga or use meditation CDs if you find it difficult. The key to good meditating is to put the body into a relaxed state and clear the mind of all thought (it comes with practise) and then just ask quietly to yourself “What is it I need to know”, then just stay quiet and relaxed for at least ten minutes. There are meditations online for you here.
- Find a good Nutritionist, Reflexologist, Aroma-therapist, Shiatsu or other alternative practitioner and have regular appointments. There are many alternative therapies that you could try. Any time taken purely for your own care will pay you back with increasing feelings of well-being.
- Learn to see yourself as whole and healthy, bringing together all facets of self – mind, body, spirit and emotions, rather than just a physical condition. For complete healing to take place requires work on all four aspects of self.
Read testimonials from those who have attended my workshops When is the next workshop?
